Reflections from Our Chair: Nigel Smith

Nigel Smith, Chair and Trustee Lead for Quality Assurance at Doorway, shared his thoughts this Trustees’ Week:

"This Trustees’ Week, I’ve been reflecting on what a privilege it is to be part of Doorway. Having served as a trustee for the past four years, and now stepping into the role of Chair, I continue to be inspired every day by the dedication, professionalism and compassion of our employees and volunteers.

Together, we provide not just advice and accommodation but hope and opportunity for young people facing homelessness. Seeing young people finding stability, confidence, and a different future is incredibly rewarding.

Being a trustee is a chance to make a real difference, to support an organisation that changes lives, and to work alongside people who truly care. I’m proud to be part of it."
